The collaboration between the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia and Mavive SpA for the Perfume Museum is renewed

The collaboration between the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia and Mavive SpA of the Vidal family has been renewed with a long-term agreement.
This partnership has been the occasion since 2013 for a new restyling of the Palazzo Mocenigo Museum where fashion, costume and perfume have given life to an unprecedented museum itinerary.
The agreement just signed, in addition to giving continuity to a strong cultural cooperation, directs both parties to the promotion and development of the perfume museum section where original documents, raw materials, essences and bottles trace an ancient history, in which Venice played a significant role.

Among the joint projects of the Foundation and Mavive for Palazzo Mocenigo, the main one concerns the recovery of the mezzanine on the ground floor which involves the expansion of the existing Library and Archive with the enrichment, in a dedicated space, of new and important collections of perfume bottles.
All to welcome scholars, students and associations in an equipped place that can be identified even more as a reference point for research and study of costume and perfume.
This intervention will be carried out through the Art Bonus and will constitute Mavive's main financial contribution to the Foundation.

For the next few years, proposals for thematic exhibitions dedicated to the world of smell are being defined, the activation of an educational program specifically dedicated to perfume, the organization of conferences, seminars, meetings with master perfumers. Precisely with the aim of making the Study Center an international reference point, in which associations, institutions and companies of excellence operating in the cosmetics sector will also be involved.

Marco Vidal: “we are pleased to continue this important path for our corporate mission, the spread of the perfume culture that sees Venice at the center of cosmetic progress, through a museum institution of international reference. But also to affirm our commitment to our community. The collaboration with the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia has great potential because it combines different skills, visions and resources that together can give a disruptive force to the museum project. Public-private collaboration is one of the great national objectives for enhancing the enormous cultural heritage of our country".
