In March 2020 MAVIVE converted part of the Monotheme perfume production into antibacterial sanitizing products to support the battle against Covid-19.
The collection is designed for deep and complete hygiene not only of the hands but also of the home environment.
After effectively cleansing your hands thanks to the antibacterial and glycerin soap, they can be sanitized with the use of high alcohol content cleansing gels available in travel or office size.
Three specific formulas have been studied for the cleansing hand gels, suitable for different needs:
Protection Formula: cleansing hand gel with antibacterial and 71% alcohol for liter and 100ml formats. Screening tests carried out on this formulation have demonstrated the activity of these gels against bacteria and fungi with 30 seconds of contact.
Recovery Formula: cleansing hand gel with antibacterial and 60% alcohol for the 250ml and 50ml formats. The formula of these two products contains, in addition to the essential oil of thyme, ingredients of natural origin and emollients for the skin.
Nourishing Formula: four new scented and colored gels will complete the collection starting from the end of June. Peony, Green Tea, Lemon Balm and Aloe are the fragrances chosen for the four new gels, each made with a super emollient and protective formula for the skin, always maintaining a high concentration of alcohol to help prevent the spread of germs.
On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the Vidal nelk m family, Mavive donated more than 150,000 sanitizing products worth 1.2 million euros to international humanitarian associations such as Doctors Without Borders and Doctors with Africa CUAMM, national non-profit organizations such as Avis (Italian Blood Volunteers Association), Ail (Italian Association against Leukemia and Lymphomas), religious communities and schools.
Since 2013, Mavive in partnership with the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia, has created the first perfume museum in Italy, at Palazzo Mocenigo. The initiative was born with the aim of rediscovering and enhancing the millennial vocation that places Italy, and in particular Venice, among the founders of the world perfume tradition.
In 2021 the collaboration between Mavive and the Foundation was renewed with a loan for the restoration of the historic building.
